mentor u

MENTOR U connects current CCS High School students and recent graduates with mentors from the Greater Columbus professional community.  It provides critical, one-on-one and personalized support as students pursue their high school graduation and postsecondary goals.

Mentors and mentees are matched through an online platform specifically designed for our students. Conversations between mentee and mentor are prompted through the program and take place through common modes of communication- email, phone, texting, and some face-to-face meetings.

Mentor U College

Columbus City Schools graduates who are already enrolled in college will be paired with a mentor.  Mentors serve as guideposts for students as they transition into college and work through their college and endeavors.

Mentor U High School

Mentors will be trained with the knowledge to assist students in successfully completing high school as well as how to get them prepared for college – including the college search and application processes, FAFSA completion and finding the right fit.  This is a great option for current college students who want to be a mentor.
