Dear Current High School Senior:
Despite school closures due to COVID-19, we want to reassure you the I Know I Can staff is still actively working, as we understand this is a critical time for students pursuing a postsecondary education. However, due to recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control to contain the spread of COVID-19, all I Know I Can staff members will be working from remote locations, and our physical office will remain closed until further notice.
Instead of traditional one-on-one meetings at school with your I Know I Can College Advising Manager (CAM), you will instead be contacted by your CAM through emails, phone calls and text messages.
We are asking each senior to complete this form to provide your CAM with your most up to date contact information. Also, check your emails, phone calls and text messages and please be responsive to your CAM as they communicate with you in this way. If you have a question or concern, please reach out to your CAM directly. You can find contact information for your CAM here: Whitehall-Yearling High School IKIC Staff Contact List
We encourage you to continue to work on your college-ready milestones during this critical time with the assistance of your CAM, including:
• Complete 2 or more college applications
• Complete your FAFSA
• Submit your FAFSA verification materials, if needed
You should also anticipate outstanding Financial Aid Award Letters will be received in the coming weeks. Please remember your CAM is available to help you understand these documents and answer any questions you may have.
If you are ready to enroll in college, please follow your selected college/university’s protocols which can be found on the Admissions page of their website. Your CAM is also available to walk you through these steps as needed, and answer any questions that may arise.
Finally, up to date information related to I Know I Can services, along with several community resources, can be found on our website, www.iknowican.org/covid-19.
