Ohio Wesleyan University, in partnership with I Know I Can, offers the Dr. Charles Thomas Scholarship to support students from Columbus City Schools, Reynoldsburg City Schools, South-Western City Schools, and Whitehall City Schools. This scholarship provides up to 25 high school seniors annually with financial aid covering at least full tuition for four years, helping to eliminate financial barriers to higher education.
Applicants must be graduating seniors from a high school within Columbus City Schools, Reynoldsburg City Schools, South-Western City Schools, or Whitehall City Schools.
Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Applicants must complete the FAFSA and be Federal Pell Grant eligible.

If selected, students must complete Ohio Wesleyan’s free, three-week, residential Summer Bridge Program during the summer preceding their fall enrollment.
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) once it opens on or around December 1st.

Complete the Ohio Wesleyan University by the deadline application for admission. The deadline will be announced in Fall 2025.
If you apply and complete your FAFSA by the above deadline, you will automatically be considered for the OWU Dr. Charles Thomas Scholarship. Keep an eye on the email you used to apply for updates regarding your status.
