Continuing your education after high school opens doors to new opportunities. We offer resources and personalized advising to help you navigate your options and choose the path that fits your goals:
- 4-Year College or University – Earn a bachelor’s degree to expand your career opportunities and increase your earning potential.
- 2-Year College – Start your education at a community college, earn an associate degree, or transfer to a four-year institution.
- Trade or Technical School – Develop specialized skills through hands-on training for in-demand careers.
- Certificate & Workforce Training Programs – Complete short-term programs that prepare you for specific careers in fields like healthcare, IT, and skilled trades.

Help for Current College Students:
Staying on track in college comes with its challenges, but you don’t have to navigate them alone:
Understand and Renew Financial Aid: Financial aid can be confusing, but we’ll help you navigate the process. Our team can guide you through FAFSA and IKIC scholarship renewal forms, making sure you receive the maximum aid available. We also connect students with scholarships, grants, and other funding opportunities to help reduce the cost of college.
One-on-One Advising: College is more than just classes—it’s about finding the support you need to thrive. Schedule a virtual or in-person meeting with one of our College Navigators to discuss your academic goals, explore campus resources, and get advice on how to stay on track to graduate.
Events & Summer Office Hours: Each summer, our College & Career Coach mobile advising unit travels around Columbus, offering one-on-one help with applications, financial aid, and career planning. You can also meet with our advisors at local Columbus Metropolitan Library branches.
In addition to our summer office hours, we host events throughout the year to support students and families on their college journey. Stay updated on upcoming workshops, college fairs, and more!
